The Bhagwad Geeta and death

The geeta contains the divine nectar, our great sages spread this nectar among us in different ages , different time , and it is always new and teaches the human civilisation to find the path of God , free our soul from the attachment and by self-realisation be the part of supreme soul.it is the immortal song of life,which speaks the glory of soul.

“The soul is glorious, unborn, deathless, free from old age, immortal, and fearless.”

The Geeta tells us that there was life before birth and it will also continues after that. I want to quote here verse 20 of chapter 2 of gita.

                         न जायते म्रियते वा कदाचि
                        न्यायं भूत्वा भविता वा न भूय: |
                        अजो नित्य: शाश्वतोऽयं पुराणो
                        न हन्यते हन्यमाने शरीरे || 20||

na jayate mriyate va kadacin
nayam bhutva bhavita va na bhuyah |
ajo nityah sasvato 'yam purano
na hanyate hanyamane sarire ||20||

The  soul is never born nor dies ; nor does  it become only after being born. For it is unborn,eternal, everlasting and primeval : even though the body is slain, the soul is not.

The above verses explain eternal nature of Soul, and indicate that life is perpetual, the soul is the driving force of life which never dies. The soul is ever-existing and beyond birth and death.What we call death is merely destruction of body but the immortal self remains unaffected by all bodily changes.Soul never dies it is body which perishes. Upanishads,Vedas also confirm the immortality of soul.
